We're sorry. We didn't think you had feelings.

We are sorry to hurt you that way. When we said "we are artists, we make art" with this innocent narcissisistic joy, we didn't think you could feel threatened by the violence of such a statement. Because you are one too, right? Why then should we be allowed to call this title our own? Shouldn't artists be called artists by other people? That would keep things fair. Langage is such a violent thing, to name one thing puts a sticker on it and imposes its content. But to call ourselves artists is the best way we found to express the tradition we want to be part of. Because we really are searching for answers, and we really are good at finding eternal truths. And we dedicate our lives to try to communicate them. With all means necessary. We'll even use langage if we must! Through all its forms, of course. We will create. We will find. We will re-use, reduce and recycle. We will be defined by this empty and vague statement: we make art. And big speeches.

Art expresses truth. But it's not a rational one. When you encounter any type of art form, that's when you can start talking about it. You felt it, maybe you still feel it. Some say you can identify a masterpiece by trying to count its many interpretations. Some say a masterpiece is just empty, because it means so many different things at the same time. We'll here's the point: so goes for one's identity. Laibach says that art requires fanatism. This seems so true. But with the lack of historical events such as the context this band was born, the most authentic thing we could find was to simply tell our boring story. Nothing, no one is special. We are unique. And to spend this life writing our story and publishing its books, we are able to find in narcissism the fanatism required by art, as told by Laibach, to keep things going and meaningfull. Yes, we are all artists. And our life is our masterwork. We are unique as a snowflake, and melting almost as quickly. We must artefact. Now.

(What the f was that? I swear it's not a statement. Geez, I guess I am simply super-spoiled.)
